What are eyelash extensions?

Eyelash extensions are a semi-permanent way to add volume and definition to your natural lashes. They reduce the need for mascara and save you time in your morning routine. At The Lash Lounge, we offer four different styles to suit every look and budget.

Who can have eyelash extensions?

Eyelash extensions are suitable for everyone! Whether your lashes are short, sparse, fine, or curly, we’ll help you find a style that suits you perfectly.

Will lashes ruin my natural lashes?

Not at all — when applied and removed correctly by a qualified technician, lash extensions won’t damage your natural lashes. In fact, many clients find their natural lashes remain healthy with proper care.

Do I need to prep my lashes before I come in?

Yes, please arrive with clean lashes and no eye makeup. Use an oil-free cleanser before your appointment, as any traces of oil or mascara can interfere with the lash adhesive and reduce retention.

Can I have extensions applied to my bottom lashes?

We don’t usually recommend bottom lash extensions as they tend not to last very long. However, if it’s something you’re interested in, feel free to ask us for tailored advice.

I have sensitive eyes. Can I still have lash extensions?

Yes, absolutely. We use a specialised glue suitable for sensitive eyes. When lashes are applied correctly by a trained professional, even those with sensitivity can enjoy lash extensions comfortably.

How do I know which lashes will suit me?

We will recommend what would suit your eye shape and show you examples

I have had an allergic reaction before can I still have lashes?

Possibly, yes. We perform a patch test for all new clients and have a selection of adhesives available. If you’ve had sensitivities in the past, let us know and we’ll find the safest option for you.

How do I know which lashes will suit me?

We will recommend what would suit your eye shape and show you examples

Can I still wear eye makeup with extensions?

Yes you can, you would just need to remove it with an oil free makeup remover.

What are Classic individual lashes?

Classic individual lashes are our most natural-looking option. Each silk lash is applied one by one to your natural lashes, enhancing what you already have. Keep in mind, if you have fewer natural lashes, the final result will be naturally more subtle.

What are Hybrid Lashes?

Hybrid lashes combine two techniques — classic individual lashes and Russian volume fans. They’re perfect for clients who want a fuller look without going too dramatic. This style is often used to mimic celebrity lash styles, offering both length and volume.

What are Russian volume lashes?

This method of lashes is perfect for people who want a more Glam look. Russian lashes are fine synthetic Lashes that are made from the same fibre as classic lashes, however because they are much thinner we are able to apply more lashes to each natural lash. Anything between 2 to 8 Lashes can be applied without them damaging your natural lashes or weighing them down.

Russian lashes are applied in a fan like shape which we make as we are with our clients. This technique gives you the most volume and because the lashes are so light weight they last up to 50% longer than individual lashes.

What are Mega Volume Russian Lashes?

Mega Volume lashes are ideal for those wanting a bold, dramatic look. Using the Russian lash technique, larger fans are created and applied to each natural lash. These sets use 6–12 fine lashes per natural lash to achieve maximum fullness and glamour.

What is a Lash Lift & Tint?

A Lash Lift curls and lifts your natural lashes to make your eyes appear more open and lashes look longer. A tint is then added to darken the lashes for extra definition, giving the appearance of longer, fuller lashes without the need for mascara.

How soon after a lash lift can I get another one?

No earlier than 5 weeks

What’s the difference between lash extensions and cluster lashes?

Lash extensions are applied individually to each natural lash, offering a more seamless and long-lasting finish.

Cluster lashes are applied in groups using strip lash glue and tend to be lower in quality. They typically last only a few days and aren’t recommended for long-term wear.

What is an infill?

An infill is a maintenance appointment where we replace any lashes that have naturally shed. It’s typically done when you have at least 50% of your extensions remaining. We recommend booking infills every 2 to 4 weeks to keep your lashes looking fresh and full.

What is a 20 minute topup?

We offer 20 minute top up’s on all lashes we provide. We recommend only having this once in between an infill

Can I come to you for an infill if you didn’t do my original set?

We only offer infills on sets done by our salon. If your lashes were done elsewhere, we’d recommend a removal followed by a fresh, full set applied by us.

Can I get a half set?

At The Lash Lounge, we don’t offer traditional half set appointments, as this isn’t really our style. Full sets provide better definition, volume, and longer-lasting results. Incomplete sets can be difficult to blend with your natural lashes, often leaving a look that appears unfinished.

However, we do offer a half classic lashes and half lash lift treatment, which is a great option if you’re looking for something more natural and subtle. It’s the perfect middle ground for those who want to enhance their lashes without going too full or dramatic.

My lashes are beginning to irritate me, what should I do?

If you're experiencing irritation, please get in touch with us right away. We’ll assess the cause and advise on the best solution to resolve the issue safely and quickly.

Some of my extensions are falling out is this normal?

Yes you lose up to 5 natural lashes a day

Can I still wear eye makeup with extensions?

Yes you can, you would just need to remove it with an oil free makeup remover
